Having to do a collection on a monday

Been on my hols for last 2 weeks but i have been informed that every monday rural staff now have to do a collection. Collections are done by an office 25 miles away usually and we are just a delivery office. We have had no formal training on collections and apparently are given a piece of paper with boxes to collect from and a bunch of keys. Not sure the reasons why but am not happy at having to do this.

have you had the required training?
do you have the required equipment?
do you have the time to do collections?

if the answer is yes to all 3 questions then you have no choice.
if the answer is no to any of them then you should not do them until you can answer yes to all 3

Risk assessments to be done and proper training. Try this link before you perform ANY collections work!

If you do not understand the ROYAL MAIL documents,(and they are), print them off and show them to your manager and tell him you do not understand. Also have the collection points been WPQ1?

you say you are a delivery office yet your drivers will be doing collection work how long
will the collections take,also have the delivery rep and distribution rep agreed to this.
i bet your walking staff wont be happy waiting for there bag drops.
and as for your tracked and registered items being delayed your o/c wont be happy either.

just stick to delivery.
