Hello Everybody..
I find myself in a strange situation ,I have been asked to present myself at a fact finding interview as I am a named witness in a incident
which is in breach of code of conduct.
The problem is that I have not been given 48 hours notice but only 24 hours notice is that, the union rep told the manager to rearrange the interview ,the manager was hesitant at first but then agreed.
After the rep went, the manager came back and said he had received new advice and that the interview was back on as originally planned..
He seemed to think that in this perticular circumstance it was not necessary to have 48 hours notice.
I was just wondering what to do as the interview is for tomorrow 30th september.
The guy whose case it is was late back from break by 10 minutes so am not sure if its that serious a case, however it did mention in the letter that I have a right to have a union representative present or a friend.
He could get some kind of a warning though..his already on a warning but I don't think he can get dismissed from this case.
Really the union rep should know the answer or maybe the manager is up to no good its hard to be certain.

Re: Fact Finding Interview..
Since when was being late back from break a conduct issue worthy of witnesses and an inquisition?
What is wrong with these f***ing managers?
"You're late back from your break."
"I know <insert reason>"
Any lurking managers on the site want to fill in the next bit....
Reply A,B or C
A.That's fine.
B.That's fine..you owe 10 minutes.
C.Let's have a full fact finding interview with witnesses and waste f**k knows how much time and money just so that i can get "excited" over throwing my weight about.

That takes me back.
The first time I was sacked was for being late back from a break.
It wasn't even my fault.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

They are involved because their attendance has been asked of them by a supervisor. (An expectation of your role within the Company is to abide by any reasonable request made by your Managers)ebbzie wrote:? why are you getting involved???? It would also be considered irresponsible or unacceptable behaviour if you are found to have made a deliberate attempt to give false or misinformation to a Manager.
It is your responsibility to give clear precise and correct answers, leave the lies and excuses to the person who has been accused or wrong doing.
