Vacant duties after revision

In our office, we have been through a huge revision and now have some park and loop duties. Everyone re-signed for a new duty back in April, leaving 6 reserves.
Since then some people have left, so their duties have become vacant, there are 3 duties now available.
Who can actually sign for these available duties? Is it just the reserves as they are not duty holders, or everyone? As we've been through a major re-sign, is holding a duty for 12 months before signing for something else void?

Yes..the 12 month rule doesn't apply to a full office re-sign.
Normal resourcing arrangements will apply.

The Way Forward agreement is the only resourcing agreement at present. Here is how it goes on vacancies :

Vacancy comes up

Reserve picks it up for 6 months,(this process avoids the "knock on process")

After 6 months it goes up for signing. A walk/drive should go up and seniority gets it.

Whoever gets it,then the duty he/she vacates the process starts again.

This is interesting......has anyone got offical papers for this, might need to show my DOM this? This is now happening in our office, DOM says it has to go to reserve on a permenant basis!!

Thanks for the link........ what's happened in our office is, someone has recently left, we had a re-pick/re-sign of duties in november 2010, as i've been informed, the most senior reserve will automatically get this duty. Is this correct? am I right in thinking he can only hold this duty for 6 months? If this is the case, then the duty will be advertised to the whole office?

Yes thats right. The only resourcing agreement at present is The Way Forward and a supporting agreement,(The Stoke Agreement).
