HOW HAS ROYAL MAIL EVADED THE ISSUE OF DOUBLE YELLOW LINES ETC IN ITS PARK AND LOOP
they will state it will be delt with on the duty structure (dont believe that for a minute)
it is my intention we have fully defined parking spots within the law prior to any delivery methods implementation

Think we've covered RM parking allowances in previous posts. I'm sure some one will post a link. If I remember rightly RM don't have "Carte Blanche" to park anywhere, just because we display the Queen's Crown. 
However a lot of situations can be covered because we are not "Parking" on Double yellows merely "Loading/Unloading", which I believe is allowed.
I suppose you're concerned with P & L if you are away from the van with your "Golf Trolley"? 
Perhaps you Manager can talk to the Council about getting some sort of exception for RM Vehicles?

Makes me feel a lot better about doing something minor like reversing into a bollard! God knows what was going through these guys minds when they saw their vans speeding off.......I've had a few dodgy handbrakes but the van wasn't moving that fast and I was able to jump in and stop it!
