little bit nervous about it its been 22 years since i was in classroom

Representing members

I'm going on the Union 1 course soon aswell, i'm also nervous...i don't know if its because of the course or because I'm leaving 1 of my kids at home to look after the house

Don't take it personally happy.
The crazy thing is some of the worst abuses of power seem to be in offices where reps have been in position for a relatively long time.
You have to ask yourself what kind of members allow their rep to take the piss for years without at least trying to do something about it.
I can see the point with HQ...that place is by invitation only.....but the local rep position is the easiest for the membership to influence.

try not to bit you got to wonder at are members sometimes i took the sub rep post about a year ago because the rep was having a hard time its easy to slag us of but how many want to do something about ? in my experience not many the thing is your rep is only as good as you make them because the can change things on there own
