Loss of hours in office
I have just found out that our manager has just axed 30hrs off the TM1 without any union agreement and whilst only the first stages of our revision are being looked at with in the office. What steps can be taken?

If this is anything like a situation closer to home, ensure all duty holders are using the assigned delivery equipment properly (eg. no locking up of trolleys to do loops of mail in pouches); taking their full meal relief entitlement; not cutting corners etc.
Yet to hear anything official from our rep, but a section has just had all duty holders on 30 hour contracts removed, to be replaced with 22.5 contracts. Therefore more double preps to do and PT staff will be "locked" into this section for the rest of the RM career, unless they get a transfer... All to save hours on the section that is the busiest by far in the depot, when duties in the other sections are far more achievable within contract hours!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
