Hi, I'm new on here and have been working as a postie for a month now. But I'm working at a DO 20 miles from home when there is one literally 1 min from my house. It's causing me a lot of stress due to added petrol costs, longer travelling time etc, plus I look after my ill mother and I don't like being too far away from her when working incase anything bad happens. Can the union help me get a transfer to the DO right next to my house?

you only have to do 6 months for a transfer

You could speak to your to your DOM and explain the situation you are in and ask if you could be loaned to the office nearer to your house, if a transfer is not possible although you risk being mucked about
