What a Waste of Money

Considering that all we hear about is that Royal Mail want to save money, by taking hours out of delivery offices, and absorbing duties, and constantly hammering the front-line staff....

How's this for ridiculous.....

At our delivery office we get 2 lots of mail each morning, the 1st which has come overnight from the mail centre to our main local area office, and the 2nd which is a direct lorry from the mail centre to our office. Today they decided it was worth sending the big 600cf lorry on a 160mile round-trip from the mail centre to our office with 1 tray of mail.

Where is the sense and justification in that ?? Obviously the mail centre had failed somewhere along the lines, but what a waste of money, if Royal Mail stopped doing stupid things like this, then surely they could save a hell of a lot of money around the country.
