My friend has to go to a fact finding interview, because he left hes pouch box open by mistake while delivering. Whilst there was no work in the box. A customer complained saying there was work in there and although nothings been stolen, Hes been told he will have attend fact finding because the mails intrigrity was in question. What can he expect to happen?

In the real world it would be,"You left the box open so be more careful in future" no fact finding no wasting time.

he will have to sign a piece of paper about being given a warning.
a customer complained about my mate, because he was eating a bag of crisps while out on delivery. or just deny it.

Or he could just own up. Theres nothing wrong with attending a fact finding interview does not mean he will be charged ! Admit it ... If you come from the Human angle rather than trying to lie his way out of it then his integrity will be called into questions never mind the mail... I cant see a Manager wasting his time on this as there has been no consequential loss.

There is apparently a postie in West Scotland suspended for this.
Left the keys in the box at the end of the delivery.
No mail, no nothing but suspended anyway.
