Thanks for the heads up, but when I started my cycle delivery, at no time had I been told that you carry your bag with you, up each delivery point, and niether has anyone in my office as I asked them this morning, and consequently when walks have been tested by dom this has not been flagged up, only that you are to keep cycle in your sights which when I deliver to each address this is what I do, and since talking to other posties in my unit they all do what I do,
So my question is if you are on park n loop do you then take the golf trolley up the path with you or unclip both bags and carry them on you back to each delivery point, thoe house in question has no gate across driveway and no other access point
on our safety brief it states recommended action,( this brief was suppose to have been given out in 2008 and no one in my office has seen it before or up to now and I know I have not as I usually keep them ,
we had a little trial in our office this morning and empty bag was put over the shoulder of a postman who is quick with strap across chest and in the time I said take the bag off I had got to him before he could do this and this was my answer to dom , as a dog is a lot quicker and two dogs coming at you from different directions which one do you choose to put the bag in front of so the other one can still bite you, YES in a normal world with loads of time maybe this is the right way
but cannot see how it is,
I was bitten badly 3yrs ago and had to have therapy so it don't help when you are faced with that situation , you don't always think logically about what you are suppose to do at the time.
But thanks for the thoughts, been in touch with union rep in our area and they said to send all paperwork off to them which i am compilling at the moment.
