when does a stage 1 clear?

I was issued with a 1st stage warning on the 5th of December on 2009 after returning to work after being diagnosed with kidney failure. I was then off for a transplant in July of 2010 and when I returned in November a 2nd stage was triggered but not issued due to it being in relation to the 1st stage warning. I know if you are absence free for 12 month the 1st stage is wiped, but does the 12 month start from the issue of the 1st or does it move to the date of the 2nd unissued one?

Also, in an unrelated matter, when I came back from the diagnosis, I temporary reduced my hours from 40 to 30, till after the transplant. I have since heard on the grapevine that they are unwilling to revert me back to my 40 hours, unsure if it’s due to my health reasons, of whether they are citing insurance reasons with driving company vehicles because of the transplant, I have a letter saying the reduction was temporary and my contract would be there for me as and when, any thoughts?

A stage warning for kidney failure and then coning you out of your fulltime contract, what a loverly company we work for! :so there

Stage 1 lasts for 12 months from date it was issued, however your last sick triggered a stage 2 so reading what your saying you were off for a long time with your illness ( srry to hear ) so you will have to try and go 12 months from last absence so not to trigger a stage 1 again (if your absence exceeds limits already).

On your second issue, get your area rep onto it they will take it higher for you.

cheers for the advice.
Our union rep gave up the post, so dont have one, he is also off sick, so just managed to get hold of him and he has put me in touch with the area rep.
Going to get hold of him for some advice.

What an absolute joke as 1st stage warnings are left to the managers discretion,Iam not quite sure but i think a first stage lasts 6 months, contact your branch secretary asap.
These are the kind of RM ROUGE MANAGERS that are ruining whats left of the business.. :arrrghhh
