Re: Royal mail grivance process/stage 3
Once all internal avenues have been exhausted then an employee who feels aggrived can take any qualifying matter to an employment tribunal.
TBH if he has reached a stage 3 and is a Union member then he must have called the Union in at some stage If not I will be frankly astounded.

only if he applied within 3 months of the date of the incident complained of (or the last incident - if it has been continual)
so he should have applied to a tribunal at the same time as taking out the grievance...and he should have explained to the tribunal office that the internal procedures ahve not been exhausted, so he's maybe too late to go to tribunal?
yes - should have spoken to his rep!

Re: Royal mail grivance process/stage 3
Hi I did involve the union unfortuanly the rep is saying he is only there to sit and listen,he would not interfair as he don't want to get involved. The union rep knows RM manegers are fabricating the story it seems he is also taking their side for some other favours. I don't know where to go next, its been going on for over six months so did not complain to ET as i was not aware of how to go about it, and as said the rep is not being helpful. Any advice on taking the matter to civil court, or to independent person.

I would contact either the Area Rep and or Divisional. Those in London don't like you contacting them I've found but these people need to remember WHO is paying their wages so you could try ringing HQ too. And if this rep has said this then he too wants reporting!punjabi wrote:Hi I did involve the union unfortuanly the rep is saying he is only there to sit and listen,he would not interfair as he don't want to get involved.
