QUESTION YOUR MANAGER 3 - USE IN WTL

National Dispute

QUESTION YOUR MANAGER PART 3

The CWU have offered to withdraw from all IA if Royal Mail simply commit to meaningful negotiations. How can a reasonable business refuse an offer like this?

For the last three years Royal Mail has announced their profits in May. Why have the profits still not been revealed as we move into August?

Why is Royal Mail publicly stating that there is no backlog in the postal service when mail centres and delivery offices across the country have major backlogs?

If Royal Mail are stating that (1) they have no money and (2) there is no backlog then why are they paying agencies £15plus for casuals?

Before, during and after strike action admin managers are drafted into offices to perform our work. There jobs seem to be very flexible so why is that business not looking to make more savings in that area?

Do you think it is fair that at a time when Royal Mail claim poverty they are able to pay out over £40million in bonus payments?

12-18 months ago Allan Leighton and Adam Crozier were claiming that the business had been turned around and they were heaping appraisal on themselves. Now they are staying we are in the worst position ever. This has all happened under their leadership. Surely it is time for them to admit they have failed and resign?

Allan Leighton works only 1 day per week for Royal Mail. Surely in such desperate times the chairman of the Royal Mail needs to show more commitment?

Why do managers etc spend hours and hours trying to break a strike that affects you as much, if more than us? The introduction of team leaders would slash at least a 3rd of all managers.

Why has Adam Crozier refused the national unions offer of a live TV debate on this dispute? What has he/Royal Mail got to hide?

I have, along with my colleagues, tried on numerous occasions to interrogate our dum on many burning issues! All we ever get from him is, "I have no answer for that" or " I can't tell you the answer to your question" or "I don't have that information" !!!! What is the point of him being in charge???? :d'oh! :d'oh!
