Can RM still force later start times despite IA going on ??

Hi.
Can RM still force later start times despite industrial action going on.

Having worked for RM for quite a few years I am now in an office where whatever managemant tend to say goes.I am very much opposed to the later start time as this is not the job I applied for originally.Being an AG our start time is going from 6am to 7.30 yet full timers 5am to 6am.Am I being cynical here with my assumption that, because we get idiots who come in about 45 mins before their duty, RM know these idiots will give RM time, hence the 7.30 start and not 7.00.

Also what grounds do we have to oppose the later starts as the union man in the office just seems to be accepting it.But I dont want to and want to know where I stand before going about opposing it.Plus we as a AG are getting nothing for the change over.

Why cant RM see quite clearly that customers still like their mail early.Ye they are playing into the hands of DHL, TNT when they will get their posties on the street earlier than ours.Who would you go with then?

Any plan of action would be very much appreciated.

Dont sign anything,dont agree anything go through your local or as evilc said your Area rep and let them deal with it.If the business force it in then we all know what will happen next

If RM take IA on all postal workers then its all out no messing and no coming back until its sorted.
