i dont know about any one else but i am feeling tired now after the new revison they said park and loop would take the weight off you but am more tired now then when working the old system any one else the same or am i just geting too old for the job

we have marathon runners who are knackered after doing park and loop,the duties were too big before they made them bigger,on average a hour plus overtime

Iam a young person and i feel the strain pre revision! Its not an easy job at all young or old guess some of the senior people have forgotten what its like to have a normal job!

No, not at all. I've been doing it seven months, I'm in my twenties. My left knee is starting to go and my shins feel like they could snap. I abide by the bag matrix and even use the bike where possible, but I'm still utterly knackered most nights. Before I started at RM I was uber-fit, to all intents and purposes. I could run for miles and I was into gym work. Now, I get home and sit on my arse, just to recuperate. Before long, if I stay with RM, I'll probably be in hospital convalescing after a serious injury. In fact, it is in realisation of this that I have promised myself to quit if I have not found a new job before I reach a year's employment (with RM). Some may call this a move of idiocy, but I've seen some of the older folk (some of the younger older folk), and the shapes their bodies have taken on due to years in service. There's a time when you have to accept that unemployment is the superior alternative to being crippled.

IF you can get your duties with 'GENUINE' 4hr or so outdoor amounts with all the parts of the revision done then judging by the posties i know of all ages my thoughts are it would be ok.

Bare in mind my guys do 4 hr walks with a bag on their back.

After the revision if you are using the trolleys,working your hours and taking your breaks it is less tiring and with the 39hr week it's a shorter day.
If you aren't doing all of the above....then you are an idiot and deserve all you get.

i do all that and take full break may be it just that at the moment there does not seem to be a end to the backlog there is nothing worse the come in to loads of work and leaveing mail in the office for the next day to start all over the next day

You need to change the way you think about the job enzio...
Forget about duties and completion and think about it more like a factory job.
You go in,you do some IPS,you prep some stuff,you deliver some stuff....and then you go home.
It is unfortunately the future of this job and something everyone will have to realise...eventually.

i know that is the way it is gone now but it sad when you think about it years gone bye you would put in the extra effort when it was busy knowing it would be ok the next day i think the will regrt the changes they have brought in as all the good will seems to have gone now

It's because of P & L i went on night duties,
any mug could see it was going to be a disaster,
i've still got nigh on 3 decades to go before i retire,
theres no way i could do this job in 15+ years time, let alone upto 30.
