Change of Place of Work

Due to the Xmas rush, I've been asked to travel to another centre to help with segging.
As there are no vans available from our office, am I able to claim Mileage from home?
Or go in, sign on, then travel to the other office?

Don't want to be seen as claiming expenses I'm not able to.
Now, where's that Duck House receipt???

If the other office is closer to you then I wouldnt have thought you'd get expencise but if it's further away you should get some. Other thing is go to your normal office at your start time and get them to take you there and you have to be back at your normal office at your finish time NOT at the office you're working at.

your normal office, it is royal mail responsiblity to take you and pick you up from that office. If they don't then you claim overtime until they do.

Tell your DOM that is what you will be doing unless he agrees to pay you some travel expenses to use your own vehicle.

i've been asked if i would like o/t at other offices a couple of times before. Always said thank you but no thanks. Eventually said ok but my times starts when i walk through these doors(my d.o) and ends when i come back here. I even said no to working in other offices during my interview even when the interviewer was pushing me to say yes.

Other office is around 10 miles further away, so, they will be losing time whilst I travel there/back.

Oh, well, not my fault/problem.
