urgent help needed

any advice for the following would be gratefully received.
i am on the sick and have been for a roughly about 3 months. i saw the atos occupational therapist on the 16th nov for an assessment and she came up with a rehab plan due to start on the 29th nov after my sick note ran out.
however on the 25th november i had a procedure undertaken involving several injections into my back, i have arthritis in my back which is why i'm on the sick. on the 26th november i saw my gp and after seeing my condition after having this procedure he deemed me unfit for work and signed me off for another month.
my DOM has now had my sick pay stopped,on the basis of the occupational therapists assessment. my argument is that i had an operational procedure done after i had been assessed so how can that now be relevant to my present condition. i am in a lot of pain with my back but am going to be forced to go into work while unfit because as you'll appreciate i can't afford not to have any sick pay.

don't have sick notes now. it's "fit notes".

there is clearly a mix up. your dom will be going by the date of the 29th.

you should have asked for a new "fit note" from your gp - there is a section that still allows a gp to write that you cannot return to work until...???
(in effect a sick note)

and you should have furnished your dom with that asap.

allowances stop after 3 months and after 6months you go to half pay. (the months are cumulative so if you have been off previously this will be added to you latest sick period which you say is 3 months (so if you were off before for 2 months that would = 5 months - 1 more and it's half pay.

Get back in touch with Atos they are supposed to be there just as much for you as the employer. Explain the situation and ask for a reassessment! Sounds like your manager is being an assss but its not his fault it's in his job description!

If you are in the union, may be an idea to keep your rep up to date with whats happening and see if they can help out in some way?

Try to keep calm, you have your doctors support. If they keep on pushing you, tell your doctor that you are feeling depressed about the whole situation and go off sick with that instead while you are recupperating from your other problems.
