Dear Colleague
RE: National Industrial Action
Dear Colleagues,
Representatives and members should be made aware that in recent days management at many locations around the country have been intimidating our members by telling them that their particular unit had not been notified for industrial action and if they take part they will be breaking their contract and all sorts of serious consequences will follow.
We wish to make it quite clear that if there are any questions in regard to the notices of industrial action, Royal Mail should be raising them with this Headquarters, not seeking to intimidate individual members. We are drawing up details of these instances and will formally be complaining to them next week. Today we have written about one particularly outrageous example.
If branches have other instances that we are aware of, please let us know.
In the meantime, ignore all provocations and continue to act solely on the basis of information from CWU Headquarters.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward,
Deputy General Secretary (P)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Let's just say, they would win hands if they were in a limbo competition.robmacca wrote:How much more under handed can RM get?
It sickens me that certain managers are lying in such a way................
Well at least it proves how EFFECTIVE the current strikes really are and how our determination shows no sign of breaking.
