psoriatic arthritis and return to work
i am currently on the final leg of maternity leave ( unpaid now) i am due to return to work on the 15th of november, my problem is that i have pretty severe psoriatic arthritis and my doctor is even doubtful that i would be able to do light duties ( i roughly described what this involves ) he already gives me sick notes although i cant use them because of being on maternity leave, my question is this, if on my return to work date i hand in a sick line will i be paid s.s.p or go back onto a percentage of my normal wages, i really dont want to retire or anything like that but if forced to i'd rather get ill health retirement and something in my pocket

Maternity leave has nothing to do with sick,so i'm guessing if you are entitlesd to sick pay on full pay you will get it.
Unless you've used all your full pay sick pay up that is with sickness.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
