part time rounds and spare status of reserve staff

hi back again.
thanks for help with last post.
i would like advice on this scenario.
we have 4 full time reserves of which i am one.the other is part time.
in the next 2 weeks we will be 'overstaffed' so reserves will be spare.
as we have part time rounds in our office the manager normally allocates part time staff accordingly to the part time duties to be covered.i.e part time reserve on part time round. i know that as i am more senior to the par time reserve should i be right in saying that if the situation arises that he only has full time staff more senior to the part timer that they should be place don the part time rounds regardless? i know that my manager is going to say that as there is only par time duties the full timers must be spare.
can you help me as to what is correct so i dont look a complete idiot when i need to state my case

Seniority is for picking duties and VR , thats it!!!!

What is the PT duty like, is it a smaller duty with less workload or is a FT duty without IPS. At my D.O we tend to go for the FT without IPS scenario or PT duties.

Seniority has no bearing on where a DOM places his reserves, only operational needs.

Same here in Huddersfield.

All dutys have the same delivery span and outdoor duty content, even 25 hour posties.

30 Hours have the same as 25 except they prep their own duty, unlike 25 hour who do the D2Ds and bagging up.

40 Hour same as other 2 plus IPS/Prepping 25 hour duties.

This I think makes it easier operationally as anyone can do the outside element no matter what their hours are. Its the same for the indoor element as well for FT/PT (30) as there is no difference except for the IPS part, and thats not tagged to a duty but the contract.

our p/t rounds are 30 hours so therefore the outdoor element is the same delivery span operationally.p/t rounds do not do do indoor sorting but do prep d2d's.
as reserve staff we have 4 f/t reserves on 40 hour contracts and one p/t reserve on 30 hours.he is the less senior in the ranks of all five.
as i have mentioned the dom tends to put him on 30 hour rounds if he can as if he does go on a f/t round then he ahs to apy him the additional 2 hours o/t per day.
in the instance i have mentioned we will have the scenario of 5 reserves with only possibly 4 duties to cover.these will be 1 p/t round and 3 f/t rounds.as i am senior to the p/t reserve all i need to know is if i am right in questioning that i could be made 'spare' and he adopts the p/t duty ? operationally i have more experience to him.my dom's arguement is that iam costing 40 hours where he is costing 30!! is that my problem??
