Advice on my hours being cut please.

Hi, i'm a part timer, working 25 hours a week on a longterm part time contract. Along with about 5 others in my office.

We have just found out that our manager is cutting us down to 23 hours a week (basically instead of paying us till 2 on A monday and a Tuesday when it is light and we are normally finished before 1) he now wants to pay us from 9am Till 1PM on these days, can i point out that the full timers are not being cut the 2 hours and they finish before 1PM as well.

Can he do this ?? Any advice much appreciated , thanks

If your contract states 25 hours that is what you get paid for.
Are you in the union/have you got a rep this is your first course.
Ring HR and check your contract status.
Without knowing full facts it sounds like manager is really trying it on.

No, i'm not in a union.

I'm currently on a stage 2 of a grievance procedure against the same manager as well.

If you have not got a copy of your contract ask HR to send you one.
Seems to think he/she can do as they please your manager and your 1st grievance doesn't seem to have altered their view
Don't let yourself be bullied.
