Nepal Civil Service Employees Union (NECSEU-Postal) along with other groups of union went on strike at General Post Office (GPO Kathmandu ) and all post offices through out the country, demanding respect at work, trade union rights, postal allowances and improvement of postal services and itâ€™s offices.

On 25 July 2007, they met with Minister of Information & Communication (MoIC) and other Ministry Officials to fulfill their demands as soonest.

After their meeting with Minister Mr. Madhav Neupane President of NECSEU Postal wing informed, â€œMinister was serious towards the issueâ€
