Union solicitors?

I know the union solicitors can help with things like accidents and injuries,in and out of work,but does anyone know if they can help members in civil matters?Reason im asking is because a neighbour has made their back garden bigger,taking away the back access to my house!Council say its a "private matter"(what a surprise!),just wondered if the union could help me in any legal matters i may incur sorting it out?

Have you tried your house insurance? They sometimes have legal cover.

Just grab the access back mate. but I believe the Unions can offer advice on other matters, but not sure on civil ones.

you ask him to remove it and stick to his boundries. : if that fails id ask him to then if they dont claim it back yaself {knock down whatever it maybe

The CWU Solicitors, Simpson Millar LLP, can deal with civil matters, probate, conveyancing,
or anything involving legal advice. But you do have to pay for it as with any other solicitors.

thanks PM and Bdrk.Both private,and local council tell me its local housing association land,so gonna see what they can do about it,after that its CAB,legal action last resort,as i,like all of us,am a staving postie with mortgage,missus and brats !

Get onto the housing association to make sure they have'nt sold the land to your neighbour and as someone else said check your deeds.

Got deeds,back path is clearly marked,and there are several other houses in my street with same set-up,all have access.Contacted local housing yesterday.They have asked my to send them copies of deeds and all info i have,so their surveyor can check...will update(tho i doubt anyone except me is bothered,lol)
