same thing happened at our office a few years ago he was suspended on full pay for months and yes he was sacked for gross misconduct and all because he was rushing around trying to get all his duty done in time

I'm afraid it don't look good,
Didn't one of those s***s who broke the last strike do exactly the same while he was being filmed for one of the news channels(theres a post on here somewhere but I cant find it. Over to you Teebs or Postman) may help if you go appeal, you know genuine mistake pressure to finish never done anything like this in 22 yrs and Royal Mail doesn't sack everyone for doing this.

I know someone who did the same thing and got the sack (or rather left before he got the sack ... which he would have).
He had a couple of months paid suspension which he used to find another job.

One thing I would suggest is going to the Citizens Advice Bureau and asking them for advice as to where you stand with your pension and what rights you have. Any interviews with RM are best attended with an area rep taking taking notes (if they are good anyway) and as much info as you can get.
I doubt you'd get the sack if the you were just caught by the I.B. rather than having it stolen so if you can show that you had reason to believe it would not be stolen then you may squeeze through - but I doubt it.

I think it's probably more like, giving in to pressure from Managers to do more than is possible. Although I can't say for certain.
