I am due some leave for 2 weeks starting wednesday...my manager tells me i will return to work on a wednesday but in my eyes my leave should be wed to wed and return back on a thursday..
Can anyone clear this up for me..

Hi just a quickie..
I am due some leave for 2 weeks starting wednesday...my manager tells me i will return to work on a wednesday but in my eyes my leave should be wed to wed and return back on a thursday..

I would say he is correct a week runs from a Monday to a Sunday so a week off starting on a Wednesday would mean 1 week is Wednesday to Tuesday - and therefore back in work on a Wednesday.
If you start your leave on a Monday after all, you don't get the Monday of the week your due back off do you.
Off course this is all dependant on your first day off is Wednesday rather than you start leave after work on Wednesday.

I think it says so much about the lack of trust that we as employees have for our management, that we are prepared to believe what a relative stranger tells us on an internet forum.
