IVE JUST BOOKED A LATE DEAL FOR MY WEDDING,IVE MANAGED TO GET THE WEEK OFF FOR HONEYMOON BY SWAPPING A WEEK HOLS WITH A COLLEGUE AT WORK......HOWEVER EVEN THOUGH MY BIG DAY IS FRI 24TH SEPT 13 WEEKS AWAY MY BOSS IS SAYING I CANT HAVE MY OWN WEDDING DAY OFF OR THE DAY AFTER!!!!!!! ON THE OFFICE LEAVE SHEET IT STATES THAT THE WEEK IS AVAILABLE BUT MY BOSS SAYS ITS ONLY FOR AG STAFF!!!! IVE PAID OUT A FORTUNE AND DONT WANT TO LOSE MONEY BY HAVING UNPAID LEAVE,CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE PLEASE

Put a greivence in against your manager stating that you are being discriminated against for being full time and send it directly to your DSM also speak to your union rep

make sure you put everything in writing and keep copies.

write requesting the dates off - include the reason why you need it off and also the fact you are willing to take different options - A/L or unpaid leave.

you'll need the written reply before you can act on the official answer.

This is wrong although why leave it so late.
This goes down and i'm not sure how to word it properly but it's a situation where you get preference.
When i got married when i picked my holidays i told my DOM about it and he said don't worry because of the occasion i was guaranteed to get it.
But not sure what you should do tbh as you've left it late.

I would try doing an' ASK ADAM', someone at my office needed a four week block a/l the boss said no ,so the postie emailed ASK ADAM explaining the situation that they were going to India and that they wanted to visit their relatives who were spread over India so they needed the four week a/l.After about two weeks,the resourcing manager granted the a/l.I found out from one of the posties who work in the bookroom,that someone from the Chairmans office rang the resourcing manager and basicaly told him to stop being a prick and grant the a/l.This is not the first time that doing an ASK ADAM has made management at our office change unreasonable decisions they have made.
