"It wasn't until the first formal disciplinary meeting that I realised, and then it was too late. I was in shock. I felt completely inadequate and got defensive and didn't say I was sorry.
"I've now got to live with the fact that because I didn't understand how the process worked, and because I was no match for the management and wasn't in a union, that I got it wrong. I should have apologised."
