help with housing?

is there anyway i can get help with housing?

im currently renting a house but need to move somewhere cheaper. my brother who worked for RM few years ago said he was once offered help from the union in finding cheap housing, i dont know if this is true? he said at the time they could put him in a council flat and pay £80 a week! he was in full physical health ,i am too and single with no children.

so just wanted to know what kind of help i can get if any with housing

I think way back some local councils helped in coming workers to get housing quickly, but I'm afraid it's only the union big wigs who help themselves oops I mean get help with housing costs etc.

Not much chance of any help now the Tories are in power again. Don't forget that last time they sold off most of the council houses.
