You are correct. He's full of s**t,he's thinking about the £400 lump sum which is different.

Then we talked hols and i told him i could carry 5 days over from before April as in 2009 agreement and he said this was at the managers discretion????
You can carry 5 over without a 'managers decision'.Anything over that you have to ask in writing. And what 2009 agreement??

then i talked about basic pay rate (34 weeks plus 12 pilon)hes got it down as 372.93 but now with the new delivery supplement it should be 381.61????
Not 100% but i would of thought you were right.

.So i need some advice ugently from someone who knows what its all about.i am a union member for over 20 years and supported ever strike but no one seems to be able to help or give me the answers i feel i`m about to be shafted.HELP!!!!!!! :nana

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Don't know the about the 2009 agreement (??), but the Way Forward Agreement 2000 says:
Carrying leave into another year
Annual leave should generally be taken in the year that it is due, and the business expects all employees to
have at least four weeks away from work every year. However up to one week (or 5 odd days) may be carried
over into the next leave year, and up to five days may be anticipated during the last month of the previous
leave year. Transfer of leave in excess of these limits requires written permission from the line manager,
except that leave that cannot be taken due to sick leave may be allowed in the following year. Where this is
granted and would reduce the annual leave taken in a particular leave year to less than four weeks, the
individual must also confirm in writing that they are willing to voluntarily forgo their statutory leave
entitlement under the Working Time Regulations 1998.

Way Forward Agreement 2000
Section 4. ANNUAL LEAVE

I have just been IHR and was told in my final meeting, the shares payout would be 2 payments of 500 odd over two years.
When I got my pilon , I got the above amount in a lump sum

As for leave , I had 3 weeks owing from when I was sick , which I was paid for on top of my pilon. Also because I was on 6 weeks annual leave, I was paid 3 days leave for every month, April onwards.

Royal Mail Group ColleagueShare Plan 2007-2012

What if I leave before four years are up?

Anyone who is dismissed or who resigns will lose their
ColleagueShares.
If, however, you are made redundant, retire or take ill
health retirement, or if your business is transferred
out of the Company then, provided you have had the
ColleagueShares for at least one year we will buy them
from you at their current valuation. So, we would look
back at the most recent valuation and buy them back
from you at that price. In the unfortunate event of
anyone who has held ColleagueShares for at least one
year dying, we would pay the money to their estate on
the same basis.

Seems pretty straight forward to me :dance
