New D2D system

Post by smelly_cat_lady »

Hi there, I'm sure I read somewhere on the tinternet yesterday that the CWU have agreed with RM that there will be no absorption whilst the new d2d system comes in till 21st June. Did I imagine it or did I actually see it? If so where? Please tell me I'm not hallucinating??!

as this is just a guideline, your rep is probably unaware, and may have already agreed to lapse, also not every office will get 4 D2Ds,i suspect your DOM will view this as a statement like the CWU message to do the job properly,as opposed to a national agreement

No you did not imagine it - unfortunately you did misunderstand it though.

There was an Update from the CWU saying that the had put forward a proposed joint statement to deal with D2Ds and Lapsing which included a 2 week hiatus unfortunately the bit that nearly everyone missed was the line that said Royal Mail had refused to sign up to the joint statement and had briefed their managers separately.

SO there is no 2 week gap in absorption.

Why are you crying about being shafted by the union?
Cant you stand on your own two feet?
Do you need mummy to help you because you feel shafted by the union?
Stop crying and get on with it.......................Sound familiar?

Ouch!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
