Hi All,
Does anyone know if men can now take maternity leave if a their wife goes back to work? I believe this is now allowed but i am unsure how it works. Would the man take up Royal Mails maternity entitlements and be paid by them or does the man only get statutory entitlement (i.e. state payments)??
Any advice would be great.

I googled and found this link, not sure if it's in now or if RM are involved with it...

Fathers will be able to take up to six months off on paternity leave while their baby’s mother returns to work, the Government will announce today.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
