Oxford Mail Centre...walked out at 1515hrs today ... due to their Union rep. suspension .. accused of flying picketing.

Union rep. went to nearby office ( Watlington) and supposly accusing them for not going on strike on Friday or some thing like that...

When you travel to other offices on strike days and join there picket lines.

Mail Centre Oxford.... Manager came out of the office in to the car park and asked staff to move their cars because they are on private proverty ( because of this unofficial strike ) ... This happen 1820 hrs.

So for ... late shift .. 100% staff out.... some part timers and non.union staff has gone in.

What else can management do now? Its unofficial action by postal staff !! Can they issue " new contracts " and bring the staff in , ON MANAGEMENTS' TERMS ??????

Management are gonna have to tread very carefully round this one,any changes to your contracts and the unofficial action will spread like wildfire.

Good luck to you my friend and i hope RM re-think their actions re the suspension.....Did you not get your contracts changed a few years ago when you had unoffical industrial action.I hope they dont try to divert your work,that'll should set the whole system tumbling then.

what you need to do is spread the word a lot of us are f****d off with 1 dayers and it wont take a lot for us all to follow suite

I wouldnt be suprised if this is not deliberate. Not being funny, the unofficial action is probably just what RM want. You can guarantee they`ll be looking to get you to sign a different contract to get back through the doors.
