Our Dom has today put up details of his plan to cut hours out of the office.
This is nothing to do with walk sequencing or park and loop, but just his annual plan for cutting hours.
It shows an average Thursday's traffic for each round, giving how long it should take to prep and deliver that round. It also says that for traffic up to the amount shown, overtime will not be paid and we will be expected to complete our deliveries. I know from experience that the workrate expected is unrealistic and in many cases humanly impossible.
There are also changes to duties that will make them impossible to do in the time.
So what do we do?
Shouldn't these savings be retracted now that the agreement has been ratified?

Re: Office Savings - What to do?
I am a rep and our dom has just this morning been tasked with completely unreasonable savings, i have put in disagreements, wrote detailed letters explaining that there are no more savings to be made. He agrees and has now been dragged olver the coals by his bosses and we have been told to lock ourselves in a room and dont come out until you have a plan.
There can be no plan because there is f**k all left.
Likle you my friend i have not got a fkin clue what to do.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
