Does anyone have a list as to what the executive council of the union actually get paid?
I ask because i read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that Billy Hayes gets somewhere in the region of 80 GRAND annualy.
how many are actually on this gravy train.?
Does their combined salaries exceed 1 million pounds.?
Are they in final salary pension plans.?
Do they also get expenses.?
If so why are they called union officials the only other group that enjoy such perks are sitting in the Houses of parliament or the lords.
I personally think that this is unjustified and that anyone representing a group of workers should be on a salary that is equall to and not above the lowest grade worker
and that only if his performance achieves genuine levels of pay increases for and on behalf of it's members then and only then should he and the rest of the excecutive
council be paid a bonus. (it's called performance related pay and we at the bottom have to live with it every day)
So let's get the elected members back into our world and only then will we see a genuine commitment from these people to represent the workforce who
pay into their wage and pension pots.

The PEC are paid by Royal Mail on their Royal Mail saleries. They do not recieve any wages from the CWU. So out of the 17 PEC members you have one postal enigneer , one motor transport worker , 2 la`s , 1 Network driver , 1 postal clark , 11 Royal Mail letters.
Royal Mail then claim the money back for their release from the CWU via an arrangement called central billing.
