Re: whats the rules on taking royal mail vans home
I have no idea whether there is a 'law' as such but sub Delivery Office drivers around where I live are being asked from next week not to take their van home at the end of the shift and instead to bring it back to their respective Delivery Office's and leave in compound. This compound however is vandalised on a nightly basis so you can imagine what's going to happen to the Royal Mail vans in there no matter how few there are. When mentioned to the DOM he just shrugged his shoulders. Also, a chap on afters has been told 'off' for going home for his meal relief even though the next collection point he was due to start after his m/r he could actually 'see' from his house. Maybe this is a mass saving of supposed fuel.hoofer wrote:UNION IVOR wrote:whats the rules on taking royal mail vans home , if your not allowed have anyone got it in writing saying your not allowed . :cfo :lfo![]()
