you can now argue that your call rate as increased and your walk has increased in delivery time.
Wha do you think at OPG level D2D into workload actually means?
i'm not talking about traffic levels or saving full-time jobs just as a front-line measure.
How long do you think under the new performance standards you will get to prep D2D?
How long do you get now?
How much difference do you think D2D into workload makes to an 85% callrate?
yes thats the fudamental question, has you know the slightest change to any work load always as a major impact on the front line postie.
it is important as a union to up our game and be ready if its a yes vote.
end of the day the postie will have a lot of power/say to any changes, but the local reps must be involved.
it is going to take longer to prep your items and it is going to increase your delivery span, so initially i can see overtime oppotunities.
the BSI standards for prep are considered already un workable.
if you go from 85% call rate to 100% your duty span is going to increase, especiallly if we attract mor d2ds.
we will then have to look at delivery equopment ie trolleys which make your delivery slower.
so again its a case of the devil is in the details
