Now we've pussyfooted around with RM with these 2, 1 day strikes, why don't we just go all out instead of pandering to these two destroyers of our jobs?

Let's get out for a week and get them back round the table, putting forward a decent deal and get us all back to work without silly "return to work" agreements.

It's time to up the ante and show this company that they can't destroy the union or silence them. All we want is a livable wage and decent conditions to boot; not all this chop and change without consultation. Yes, let's work together to see what needs to be done instead of all this stubborness over this current deal.

Negotiate...let's have a deal instead of being told we're doing so badly, when at one point we were doing great!

All out, and let's get this sorted (no pun intended) once and for all!

I have to agree with you Bloke7 but will the membership be willing to come out. 2 have gone in today their excuse" I do not think 1 day strikes are enough" . Thats a poor excuse for being a scab but they would not come out for any strike. I hope they :cfo

Then we need to get in touch through our branches to pass up to the PEC to do something! To use common sense and show that we can stand firm and get what we want in the long run. If they don't think 1 day strikes are enough they have enough sense (I would imagine) to contact their branch and put that concern forward.

Maybe 3 days in the middle of the week? Anything which stops things enough to make them think, instead of threatening us and saying there won't be any deal at all if we just keep striking.

I agree that we need to step up to either a week or at least hit the Harry Potter release my only worrys are those people who are only out because they dont want to lose face, not sure we will have their support. Also we have a few at our place that live and work together and to lose both wages is tough

I have learnt so much from this site already. I ahve used my car eveyrday since joing without really thinking of it, As from Monday i'm in the van.....No more Mr Fkin Muggings

Good, more people coming round to this idea, said it from the start that one dayers are a joke no one cares the mail is out for one day when its back the next!! CWU have got to tread VERY carefully now so members dont lose faith... because.... if they call another few one dayers THEN come round to the idea that they aint working and call for a 5 dayer.....im just wondering how many people will of had enough by then and feel they have lost enought with nothing to show....... this is feasible as MANY MANY people have no single clue why they are striking even!! Loads still think its a pay issue only!!!

yes jaffer we did go back for less i dont think to many people could afford to stay out as long as we did.
more people have cars and mortgages etc, but from a personal point of view i think a ban on overtime and work to rule should have been first tactic that failing then an all out strike.
