New management styles-bullying and intimidation

Post by tich0166 »

Any help would be helpful please-totally innocent of what im being accused of! Rang in sick on a Thursday morning after doing some D2D items-hadv signed the control sheet and left on fitting-maybe hadnt got numbers delivered to match items left on fitting! Sometimes i fill in a certain street for that day but do another street if that bag has too many packets or mail. Some staff dont even fill sheet in and just write completed at end of week. Manager looked at leaflets on fitting then control sheet and seen they dont match! Being accused of fraud and gross misconduct-how dare they-if i hadnt gone sick i would have done them all and no questions would have been asked! How can i prove my point-any suggestions?

:sad:Firstly- If you are anything like me, you may not always get the correct amount of households in the first place--ours are often from shared boxes, and who0ever puts them out never gets the numbers right, often some of us have too many, or not enough! I normally make up a few extra,--could this be the case with yourself? you could argue this. Also, unless the Manager has actually counted your households prior to you taking them out, he's on sticky ground assuming you had the correct amount. And, it is not unknown for some lazy workmate to throw a few d/d's of their own on someone elses' frame.
If you have always done your job properly, fight back, and very good luck.

I would say that until your D2D sheet is signed by yourself and handed in for payment their should be no case to answer. Only at this point should any queries regarding the number of items claimed for be an issue.
