MECH TRAYS,TRAFFIC FIGURES ETC

Post by Danelectro »

Can anyone tell me the union position on the above.

It looks like 109 hours have been chopped out of our office because the traffic figures say so!

Do the union agree with the figures produced for mech and is it only the manual sorted trays average figure they disagree with?

Also what about packets?-they dont seem to have a figure for that.

Packets are supposed to be around 170 in a sleeved York (average container fills change every quarter based on "sampling updates" though, so this number changes by a few items each way four times a year.

Have a look at the Individual performance standards agreement. Know doubt your numpty manager has used those figures and times it by 60 minutes with regard to packets. As for machines get your mech lads/girls to note the throughputs.

Sounds like a good plan pcb but that would have to involve the area rep requesting mech lads/girls to check the throughputs and hes sidelined our office rep( who suggested us walking out if they brought this in) so unfortunately our area rep says we can only question the manual sorted trays.Like many issues over the last year hes only too happy to help management.

There is nothing stopping your mech lads from taking figures. If your Area Rep is not doing his job pass the information with explaination to your branch secretary who should sort your Area Rep out.
