Can someone with the know point me in the right direction,

I am looking for Royal Mails driving policies - something that deals with been removed from driving duties after accidents

All though i can not be 100% sure 3 accidents in two years and they can take you off but i may be corrected hopefully!.

One of the blokes at my DO is a really bad driver, has had numerous crashes over the years but always denied it was his fault. Last week he had another one with plenty of witnesses, they have'nt taken him off driving yet but he has to go out with the AA instructor for assessment.

Royal Mail havea rta prodcure agread with the unions. In the procdure they is no trigger point for removal from driving. The emphasis is on training and support. They also have the folowing the Drivers Behaviour Generic tools chart was i.e. counselling, driver risk assessment, defensive driver course, 2 hour classroom course for drivers who have blamworthy rtas. Speak to your local rep faling that the area rep.

well i gotta pipe up up , if you have a valid uk driving licience , who the hell are royal mail to remove you from driving ,only a court of law can prevent you driving not royal mail lmaso screw emj you crash thats why you insured complete bullshit

Royal Mail will agrgue that it has a duty of care for the staff member and the public. They will say that what would happen if some had a few Rtas and no action was taken. Then they went out and had a rta and someone was injured say one of your friends/ family members how would you feel then ? Plus the press would have a field not to mention possible compersation paid to the family and the distress of the situation. So as a rep dealing with theses issues its awkard so always try ang get re-traning and hope the situation improves.
