Forced out of duty-do i keep TPM?
I work in a MC as a LSM operator, chances are most of them are going here.Ive held the duty for over a year now.If my duty becomes surplus due to machines being removed,do i have a right to keep the TPM allowance that was linked to that duty for a certain amount of time, seeming as i would of been forced out of the duty, and didnt sign out of it?Any info would be nice,ta
same as it ever was...

I think the "Way Forward" agreement should help you get an answer on that.

Pay protection is covered in the "Managing the surplus framework", if you lose allowances as a result of a business driven change then you are entitled to have that element of your pay protected for a stated period of time.
This varies on length of time you've received the allowance, what age you are, whether the allowance is pensionable.
Ask your rep to find a copy of the MTSF agreement, it was amended last year so make sure you've got the right one.
