later start times
hiya we've now been told that as our first van wont be until 6 am not 4 am we have to bring in later start times between 6-7am even though i've been told it's still in the hands of the union!!!!!! but if they throw it out again we still are stuck on later start times. can we legally turn up for work at 5am as normal or has management got their own way.. HELP as our union rep is on his jollies at the moment and our office is resigned to do as it's told!!!!

Jan as Nelson says, Just `Head up a letter` that says (Disagreement: `To Later Start Times` - and it can be as short as this) write it by hand if you need, and submit it to the Dom. Say its on behalf of the Office/CWU because the Rep is on Hol`s. It`s not a big deal, and anyone in the office can do it, if this makes you nervous.nelson wrote:Jan Ask advice from the Area RepAs it will have to go to disagreement

No change can take place in a unit (later start times) until the IR framework has been exhausted.
Stage 1 by unit rep. Status quo prevails.
Stage 2 by Aea Rep. Status quo prevails if no agreement.
Stage 3 at Divisional level.
If no agreement can be referred nationally
Royal Mail should advise CWU with 28 days notice that they intend to alter start times without agreement, by executive action.
Units can request a Rule 13 ballot for industrial action in response.
Anyway your contract of employment cannot be changed without your consent, individually or collectively.
This is as I understand it

we got up a petition in our office with only about 4 people not signing it, copies were sent to the dom and area union rep. our rep also sent a letter of disagreement but the dom still insits it will be coming in.
I may have to consider my future in the company if it does come in due to childcare issues.
