Why do RM claw back money from accident on duty

Dear friends

I had an accident while on duty last June, the accident was I was knocked down by a car when it reversed into me,
Consequently hurt my back and was off work for about 10 weeks(BTW still having problems with it)

I am in the process of prsuing the claim against the third party via Simpson and Millar aka union solicitors
Yesterday recieved a letter from accident recovery team at Royal fail who want to claim back the monies they paid me while off sick when i recieve the final agreed compensation.

1. The question is if Royal fail so much hate the union and what it stands for, why do they use the union solicitors via you to claw back monies when I think they should chase the monies off the company themselves and leave the solicitors just to fight my case?

2.Can we say to RM they do this?

3. Should some admendment in union rules maybe put this forward for RM to do?

ok then i was involved in a car crash and had to have 3 days off due to whiplash, i am awaiting my compensation cheque, royal mail lost money cos of this accident, i am being paid compensation so y wouldnt royal mail want to be compensated? i know its a bit far fetched but it the same really an accident causing them to lose money either way. hope my dom aint reading this he will try and get some off me to tighten up his budget lol

I had a dog take a piece out of my leg a few years ago and went via union to Simpson Millar. Waste of space on both counts.
Claim went almost to the 3 yr deadline and was then dismissed as they cound'nt prove the dog had bitten anyone previously
Who gives a s**t what it did in the past . I had the infection ,I had the scar, I had the pain .

no it wont, i never claimed for loss of earnings as personally i never lost any earnings.

its better then doing a no win no fee as a few postmen are now getting bills for loss of earnings from royal mail and unless your solicitor does not claim for loss of earnings you get the bill

maybe its different, personal injury or accident on delivery, they both cause royal mail to lose money though. with such a caring employer u would think that they would be happy to take the brunt of the losses

HELP!!!!!! And there's me thinking my two claims are being Professionally treated, and I would get what I'm entitled to!
Two emails with case evidence/updates sent over the last 2 days not replied to at all, nothing...
So, what's the point of getting them onboard if they're not up to scratch!

Only thing is, I want to ensure the "cause" of the injury was RM Management Negligence, non adherence to required H+S Legal guidelines.
So, if I'm "ATOSed/pensioned off/too sick to work" it's as a result of their non-actions, not me just doing the job properly.

Funny you should say that , as it happened to me regarding another accident 3 yrs back being knocked off my bike, simpson and millar had 3 attemts at handling the case,

(It will already have been taken off before you get the cheque) sorry but it is not as I had to pay RM back after I recieved the cheque, mind you I asked RM to send me an sae so they got the cheque i was not going to post it to them also they kept asking me when the claim was going to be sttled so got quite shirty with them and told them when the case has been sttled then they would get there monies which equated to about £180 but to think they kept sending me letters about it made me laugh to think he is a company dealing in millions and chasing £180 sad lot, but then we know that

I basically chase them up now if I don't hear about anything

I think I should change my job to litigation as I seem to spend more time having to go over letters to do with the cases etc at least it would be safer then doing deliveries

In the last 3 ys I have had been knocked off my bike bitten by a dog and knocked over by a car, I am sure someone in this life wants me out of the way lol
maybe adam crozier has an hidden agenda for me

AOD/Dog attack: Who can help me?
I had "the letter" and forms recently, about this issue, to give permission to continue forward.
But, all I want is to prove, by admission to Simp/Millar, is that the dog owner was to blame.
I DON'T want to claim money/compensation, and I CERTAINLY DON'T want RM to get their money back either. ( Yeah, I'm mad, me!)
So...I assume that I won't be able to just get what I want, and the solicitors will be reluctant to continue with the case as they get their cash via the claim.
Im not an "ambulance chaser" just trying to get my brand of justice to prove I was right, and dog owner was negligent/arrogant.
Any ideas, advice or suggestions welcomed. TA!
