Post by ashadd »

I recently had a phone consultation with ATOS. Will i ever get to see the report they make about me ??
I married my wife for her looks, but not the one she gave me when i said i was going to be a postman.

You should be able to read this as it will be sent to your DOM. Ask him for a copy of it as it concerns you. They (ATOS) have sent a report to my DOM as well and I'm going to ask for a copy of mine as well, although I know what is likely to be in it.
The upshot of mine is that they (the nurse who did my over the phone interview for ATOS) recommend that I stay on light duties for this week and to return to full duties next week, if I am fit and able to do so. So as long as they do not make me do anything that can aggravate my injury and thereby delay my full recovery allowing me to return to full duty I will be, as I said, on light duties until I am 100% better and able to go out on delivery.

something about the Data Protection Act ? - no doubt it'll be the "right" answers to set RM leading questions . Full of holes , inconsistencies , contradictions , begging more questions than answers .

Also, get a copy of your ERICA report, which you should be able to receive too.

Yes certainly ask your DOM for a copy and make sure you dont lose it. i have known cases in the past (myself included) where the report reccomendations are not in Royal Mails' favour and they then claim not to be able to find a copy when questions arise. This is especially relevant when the manager changes or you have stand ins.
I myself had to go to (or rather i insisted) an ATOS Doctor 18 months ago after being harassed by my DOM and ended up having a series of reccomendations made under DDA in my favour which were far in excess of what i had sugested to my DOM previous to my visit; you can imagine how pleased she was with the result!
It was a real struggle at the time to get a copy of the report, you are told by the Doctor at the time what will be in the report so i knew what to expect i just needed it in black and white to wave at her when she started on at me.

So how long after the initial consultation will a report be available for me to try and get a copy?

As soon as the Atos doctor has finished with you the report is emailed to your boss so you should be able to get it straight away!
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

I had an over the phone appointment with the ATOS nurse beginning of December, apparently they send an email to your DOM, I'm still waiting to see it as apparently I'm meant to be on flat walks only or indoor duties but don't know for how long, not that I've been on flat walks or indoor duties yet!
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Make sure you get a copy of the atos report. Your dim will try and delay giving you a copy as mine did.Asked him on five occassions but he said he.d do it when he had time.Eventually i rang atos myself and spoke to a nice helpful lady about this and low and behold i got a copy from the dim the next day.! A few months later i had to quote something that was said on the report to him , he denied having any knowledge of it so asked him to look back on the report, guess what he didnt find a copy of it anywhere. I said thats okay ill bring in my copy the next day for him to look at. Dont bother was his reply. Arrogant or what!
