On monday 4th january was told by my dom it was safe to cycle out to my delivery after requesting a lift out i then hit some black ice while cycling out and came off the bike i then went to A&E who have told me to rest my leg and am now off sick does anyone know if you still report accidents at work to the dss?

If off for more than 3 days after AOD, I think, employers have to report it to H+S Executive I believe. Also, get the ERICA report sorted at work too. Witnesses are great help.
You can get a form from DSS/DWP, which records the accident, then after sending it in, they get back to you giving their decision on whether it was Industrial Injury.
I've done it twice and been sucessful both times. Keep record of accident, what happened, who stated what, conditions before, during, after the event. Good luck!
