from "The Mushroom Farm Manual"...Join the union pay your subs,feed the parasites your hard earned then watch em run at the first sign of a real fight....anyone who trusts the CWU should think long and hard about their union leaders motives and long term goals...the CWU like anyother union is a self serving "line my own pocket " job and fcuk those im paid to take care off....simple as

Well it's easy then,don't pay the subs,then you are not lining their pockets.
Next,if they get some kind of 21st century deal and not a victorian one then result,you're ok.

and how much have the members paid in to secure this deal.......?

and how much money have they lost....especially in London?

but there again London is making progress...yeah Dingo.....

and what about my old area...?

....it is going so well the union officials are joining in in with management conference calls....!!!!!!!!!

Unknown apart from what is posted on here and we cannot absolutely now the veracity of the information until its put to us in full - and voted on.

Their Subs either weekly or monthly so it will vary from member to member

Again will vary some have lost 18 days, some less, some 2 days and some none.

TBH we only have your word and your slant of it for this. My area reps also have conference calls with management but that does not mean they are "joining in with the management conference calls" does it - Perhaps again you could provide more information so that RMC members can evaluate it.

See my previous posts on this matter. Have we gained everything we could in all honestly have done so. No I don't think so.

Until we have the conclusion of the ongoing talks theres nothink to answer. Are you trying to tell us that in all the time you have worked for R/M you have gained nothink out of what the CWU have done in the past.

If you answer yes i find that hard to believe as we have all gained whether that is in a pay rise,the 5 day week etc etc.

Fair point monkey man!

When I started with RM I thought it was fantastic there was such a strong union....

For what is an unskilled job, the terms and conditions were arguably untouchable...

What is sad for me now is that I see lots of these terms and conditions being surrendered and rolled back.....

I firmly blame this at the door of the union hierarchy and their inability to create a union structure that offered real resistance to a bullish management...

I also, from experience, know it is a jobs for the boys club and that is why the strikes were called off and we are hearing all this nonsense about things going well etc....

As I said before, well what?
