MOD obscene bonuses

I'm not sure I can wholeheartedly agree with you on that analogy, but I do know where you're coming from. To me, it just says all that you need to know about this government -- yes, that they're mostly crap!

Having said that, In the same way that the likes of the Sun, who would attack our CWU values, they, or the likes of them, are baying for everyone's blood in the hopes that it gets more people on their side of the (political) fence.

I'm glad I'm not a soldier doing my bit, though, I have wanted to in the past. Fortunately, though, I failed my medical on a few occasions trying to get into the army, and later on into the Red Caps, or Military Police.

Eric you are attacking the wrong people here the most of theses masive bouness will be paid to low paid civil servants which no doubt would be through some savings scheme with the average reciving around £600, most are amongest the lowest paid public sector workers whos starting wage is arond £13,000 a year, so instead of attacking the poor paid workers why dont you attack the massives bouness being paid to the bankers and the money they have had to bail them out which comes to over £100 billion which a fraction of could give the soilders proper equipment.any lets bring them home

My problem is with the way the targets for these bonuses are set. The goal of the MOD seems to have been to equip our army as cheaply as possible not as well as possible. Adam Crozier and his cronies seem to have bonuses paid according to how cheaply they can get the mail delivered not how good a service they can run. As a government servant, it beggars belief that he can be entitled to any bonus whatsoever when his failure to engage with his staff results in strike action which has cost the country hundreds of millions of pounds.

I used to work for Mod(N) procurement executive based at Foxhill in Bath and you are absolutely spot on.
