Midlands regional sec seeking Labour nomination Derby North

CWU derbyshire have just released the following statement to their facebook group members

Cwu Derbyshire We are pleased that we can now confirm that following the anouncement by Bob Laxton Derby North MP that he will be standing down at the next election Lee Barron Midland Region Secretary is seeking the nomination for Derby North candidate with the FULL support of the Branch.

This message is the official launch of Lee's campaign to gain the nomination and the to go on and keep the seat in the hands of the CWU. I will be doing all I can to support Lee along with other members of the Branch. I will be shortly setting up a facebook page for the support of Lee and will inform you once this is up and running. I would like to pass on my personal support for lee and the support of the Branch, Now we can fainaly anounce Lee's intentions we intend to make this campaign fun different with a very serious message and to gain the support of Derby North and the community.

as an ex member of the labour party and a supporter that we should stop funding the labour party and for a new party for the trade unions and the working class i welcome and support Lees nomination and would call on no left to stand against him as he would be a socialist fighter if he support socialists policies
