Can the manager in our office stand and time a postie from he starts to throw in his part timers duty , all the way thru until he finishes throwing in his own duty also ?
This is happening in our office , some have been informed afterwards that they have failed ,even although they dont know the timescale they are meant to be working within . They have also been told that the people who fail will receive a 1 to 1 with the manager.

Re: getting timed
If hes got time to do that then hes got it easy,as far as i know the only agreed sorting/prep tests is the 1 minute one.
This is the trouble at the moment managers are taking the piss and making up there own rules and bullying people
Ask him to show you a copy of the national agreement that says he can do this, and when he cant tell him to go away and if he carrys on put in a grievance against him.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not 100% but if they think you/whoever are up to something then it might possibly be 'yes'.sharonbar wrote:johhny can i find out do they have permision to follow you round your duty as im due my interveiw tommorow for the fact finding an can they follow you to your home

Re: getting timed
We have agreed 10 letters a minute but that is only a minute i thinks your rep needs to leash your DIM and give the chain a yank.

Re: getting timed
When we had new rounds put in by EA - and obviously couldn't complete them in anywhere near the alloted time. Cluster manager and DOM did full prep tests on all town staff - all your prep 'til minute you were out of the door. Also we get 1 min tests on a weekly basis (esp when floating manager is in).

Re: getting timed
This is the same with my round. Since the changes I never finish on time. So a manager is either gonna do my round himself or he is gonna watch me from when I start prep right through delivery till I finish.
What can they do if they think the round is alright and think ive been going slow? I havent though ive just been doing it properly, no cutting corners, no running, no car, not overfilled bags even though they wont supply us with weighing scales, ect.
