if they dismiss you make sure you lodge an appeal within 3 days, a proper tribunal will probably find in your favour if you dont win an appeal. They have no proof, you surely are clever enough to have made up an excuse why your car was at home? i would have just said its at home because i dont use it on my duty so its always home.

I have a similar incident hanging over me just waiting to see I they feel like trying a jumped up charge. Was accused of having car on delivery and being home before I actually was. as it happenned that day I walked to work. I can prove that should they try it on as my house has CCTV haven't told them thought. balls in their court now!

if it was my manager they'd have photos as the camera goes everywhere, though I believe legally they must have due course to snap anyone even on work time.

Not suspended as they don't have enough cause to do so but they are currently deciding and speaking to above whether they have enough info to take further. I'm lucky that I have CCTV on my property and it clearly shows when I left house without car and when I returned home without car and car never moved all day.

I sometime come to work in car, bike or walk depends how I feel when I get up so there arguement of I always take car to work and it was not in car park at work during my delivery time just don't wash. unfortunately that's never stopped RM.

it sounds like circumstantial evidence , not hard evidence , what might be acceptable on Planet RM is not necessarily acceptable in the real world ; but they've traditionally regarded themselves as above the law , it's just got a lot worse as they operate at the legal limit at the best of times and at worst put perverse interpretations on things , stretch the truth , move the goalposts etc .

With the Union use the " I'll take this outside the PO " line of attack .

I have heard horror stories about managers doing statements like " I do not trust this person " , " this person is dishonest " etc , etc which sound like glorified non admissible hearsay i.e. " he said , she said " ; as they might be so desperate to make things stick and impress more senior managers .

don't sit there fretting, get out there and start to put your proof together.
if your job is on the line then get out there and speak to possible cctv owners/operators

make RM work for their evidence - RM " fact finding " is usually a contradiction in terms

Remember, you dont have to prove you are innocent. They have to prove you are guilty beyond any doubt.

Have you received in writing, the reasons why you have been suspended. If not you should and be entitled to receive in writing what you have actually done to warrant being suspended. How can you defend yourself if you have not been given this information. If I was in your position I would not entertain attending any further disciplinary hearing until I had received such information. If you have been suspended for an action in your office, that has been agreed by your LM and other postpersons in the office are doing the same thing, and yet not being suspended, you may have a justifiable case for discrimination.
